eigenspec — ship the idea.
Get back the spec.

Eigenvector decomposition of any prompt → sequential thinking → spec.md → bead DAG → automated execution. It's the recipe we use to scope every serious engagement — now shipped as a tool.

What eigenspec produces

A real one-page spec — and the DAG behind it.

The spec

  • Goal & non-goals — scope, sharply.
  • Assumptions & constraints — the load-bearing ones.
  • Phased plan — week 1, 2, 3 deliverables.
  • Test plan — the test that proves it works.
  • Risk register — ranked, with mitigations.
  • Rollback — how you back out if it doesn’t.

The bead DAG

Under the spec sits a directed graph of “beads” — small, ordered work units. The tool hands the DAG to a runner (or to Claude Code) and each bead ships in sequence, with tests, before the next one starts.

Tool vs. skill

Buy the runtime. Or download the recipe.

The tool ships the compiled runtime, the CLI, and the bead runner. The skill teaches Claude Code the same workflow — no install. Pick whichever fits.

eigenspec (tool)

The full runtime. Ships the sequential-thinking driver, the bead DAG compiler, and the CLI. Runs offline. One seat per developer.

Bring a rough idea. Leave with a spec.

The 30-minute intro call is on the Eigen Hitchens calendar. Bring the idea. We’ll run eigenspec on it, live, and hand you the spec at the end.
